This six-week training is comprised of authentic, secular Mindfulness teachings and methods, for those looking to develop or deepen a Mindfulness practice. A consistent Mindfulness practice develops our self-awareness, fosters presence, intuitive and empathic communication, helps us to manage anxiety and stress, and cultivates compassion for ourselves and others; quieting our inner critic. The sequencing of sessions progress through essential areas used to cultivate mindful attention and heart-centered investigation. Each session will include talks on the different areas of Mindfulness, guided practice, dyads (exploration of themes in pairs), and group discussion. Throughout the training, participants are expected to practice at home and will receive guided meditations and mentorship and support from the trainers.

Upon completion of the training, participants receive a certificate from the Mindfulness Training Institute, accredited by the Mindfulness Teachers Association. This certificate also satisfies the pre-requisite requirements for the Mindfulness In Schools curriculum trainings for teachers.

Laila Dajani
Mindfulness, Yoga, and Transpersonal Psychology was Laila's portal for leading a more meaningful, present and healthy existence. Laila has been a practitioner of these integrated modalities since 2005 and has been leading international retreats since 2007. She completed her mindfulness teacher training with the Mindfulness Training Institute, and as an Early Years Educator herself, at Raha International School in Abu Dhabi, Laila facilitates and offers training courses to educators interested in awakening to their full potential. Laila is trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy, an integrative approach to individual psychotherapy. Laila teaches and lives from a place of authenticity and is passionate about inspiring others to do the same.
Elissa Ballard
Studying with renowned teachers of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Transpersonal Psychology for more than a decade, Elissa speaks from a place of personal depth and practice. She teaches Mindfulness trainings and workshops for educators, and is a grade 5 Instructional Coach and Wellness Coordinator at Gems American Academy, Abu Dhabi. She is passionate about connecting her two worlds; education and practices for awakening, as she believes it is what teachers, students, and school communities need to fulfill our untapped human potential.
